Project launch for the power substation Düwing/Germany
A milestone for the energy transition in rural areas
11/09/2025
For the first time, ESK GmbH is independently constructing a substation on behalf of the Westenergie Netzservice GmbH.
The new single-phase power substation Düwing/Germany, which meets the highest standards in terms of construction technology, thermal, environmental and health protection, and has a total output of 63 megavolt ampere will efficiently connect four individual wind farms to the grid. In addition to the 110/31,5 kilovolt high-voltage transformer, the heart of the system is a 36 kilovolt medium-voltage switchgear with a single busbar system consisting of a transformer input panel and seven output panels.
What makes this project particularly exciting is that the client is an associated company from the agricultural sector that is actively contributing to the energy transition – a strong sign of cross-sector cooperation.
Project finalisation is scheduled for May 2026.
